Quartz Flooring System
Beautiful and durable, quartz floors (epoxy floor coatings containing quartz) are popular in office settings, kitchen areas or wherever you want to “show off” the shine. The typical quartz floor is built on the integrity of the quartz granule. A thick binder coat of epoxy is installed and while still wet, filled to excess with quartz. Once dry, all excess is swept away and a second coat of epoxy and quartz is applied followed by a grout coat of clear epoxy. Then a clear chemical resistant topping, or a chemical resistant urethane, is applied. The final system will range in thickness of 1/16″ to 1/8″.
